Today is Day 2 and features the song, "Last Resort" by Papa Roach. It was right around this time that my band FREaKS was doing the So-Cal circuit of recording and gigging and trying to get signed. Our sound was a mish-mash of styles that influenced us as well as some of what was going on in the moment. And Papa Roach had this sound that I always loved. Not quite Metal, not quite Hard Rock, not quite Alternative, but a great mix of all of them.
I wasn't sure if they qualified for METAL MARCH but I asked a few of my metal friends whom I trust and respect their opinions and they all said, yes, this is definitely a song that can be included!
So here is my #drumcover of "Last Resort." I hope you all love it! If so, please come back next week for Day 3!
