What the world needs right now is more Jesus. He came in a time of turmoil and despair to serve as an example of how to live ("For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many." -Mark 10:45 NKJV) and through his death, He has served as our Savior.
But His birth is what we celebrate at this time of year, and while many have forgotten, I want to point out that Jesus is the reason holidays past have brought about selfless feelings of peace, love, giving, hope, and unity. His teachings changed the world for the better, but now that many of us have forgotten those teachings, the world is turning for the worse.
I implore you to give the Bible a chance. Get to know the real Jesus. Not the one watered down and manipulated by churches or even half-listening church-goers who might be your family members or neighbors. Get to know Him and His teachings for yourself through the Bible. You may find that it is exactly what you are looking for in today's chaotic world.
