I didn't really get too much into Tonic when they were around in the late 90s to early 2000s, but man, aren't they sort of an enigma? They had a huge hit in "If You Could Only See," in 1996 off their debut album, Lemon Parade. Then, this song, "You Wanted More" was their next huge hit off their 1999 album, Sugar, and then they sort of faded out of existence, or relevance I guess.
Both songs were like huge, mega hits, yet they didn't produce anything else of significance. I went through all the tracks from both albums a few days ago and yeah, there were a couple of decent tunes, but nothing like those two songs. Very interesting!
Anyway, here is my cover of "You Wanted More." I love the drums in this song. They are a little awkward and unorthodox, which makes them so much fun to play. Hope you all enjoy it! Let me know what you think in the comments!
